The frame for the MIKI clock is produced in Shogawa, Toyama, which is one of the leading areas for “Hikimono-kiji.” The feature of Shogawa hikimono-kiji is that it is processed using horizontal wooden poles to make the most of the beautiful grain. The wooden vessels running parallel to the clock frame emphasize the various rings of the tree, giving each piece its own original expression.
